I would like to invite you to a guided walk on Charles Bridge. You will learn more about the original paths and connections, the forerunners of the stone bridge, its construction process, times, centuries, ups and downs, glorious periods, generous patrons, builders and artists. You will hear the stories of sculptures and their authors. We will look at the statues and their faces, we will look for the original statues, comparing modern copies, we will discuss where some copies of the statues are stored and why they were created, but we will also search for frogs and lizards on the bridge or a portraits of some of the sculptors. Maybe there will be time for legends.

The walk lasts an hour and a half, is public, the price is per person. The tour is primarily conducted in the Czech language. If a foreign visitor also arrives, it will be additionally translated into English. Part of the walk is a comfortable conference listening device, which you get borrowed at the beginning - worn hanging around your neck + plus you will receive a headphone. You can also use your own headphones for listening, for example from a mobile phone - the system is homologated.

Place of beginning and meeting: Křižovnické náměstí, Prague 1, Old Town near the bronze statue of Emperor Charles IV, the guide will have a BellPrague sign.

How to get there:

Křižovnické náměstí Square is located on the right bank of the Vltava River, from the West it is surrounded by the Old Town Bridge Tower, from the North by a monumental church and a monastery of the Nights with the red cross and red star. The Klementinum building is also located in its vicinity from the East. Křižovnické náměstí Square is dominated by a bronze statue from the 19th century of the Holy Roman Emperor and Czech King Charles IV. This statue is a meeting place for our tour.
You can come to Křižovnické náměstí from the Staroměstská metro station (line A) and by trams no. 2, 17 or 18 - 5 minutes walk south along Křižovnická street; or you can walk along Karlova Street from the Old Town Square.
