Where to go, when sun is out

Last two weeks there was positive energy everywhere. Prague changed from winter to summer. No one expected such heat during winter when it's usually ice cold in Prague. My favorite cafes opened up their terraces, everyone went out and enjoyed these days of sunshine. Especially the walks through Prague are more pleasant in such weather. Instead of a heavy leather jacket, a sweater is enough. If you are now in Prague, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And with the fact that we will have a very good spring and hopefully summer as well, I want to give you a few tips, where it is best to go out these days and enjoy the warmth. Whether you prefer walking or sitting in a park somewhere, it's good to know where to go.

My go-to place is definitely Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. Or, as locals call it, "Jiřák". There are just three of my favorite places and It's also very close to my home. In addition, every Wednesday there are farmer's markets where you can buy raw food from local retailers. So if you have rented an apartment with a kitchen for a week in Prague, you know where to buy such stuff.

But now back to the places where to go. The first is the well-known café Cafefin. They have really great snacks, a cafeteria, and pleasant spaces. A few meters away you will find the wine bar and the Le Caveau café. Where you can use the terrace, which consists of a few tables and chairs, right on the street.

And finally, do not forget to go to the Donut Shop, where you can try fresh donuts with various interesting flavors. All these places are located directly at Jiřího z Poděbrad Square.

Another, a little busier place, is Žluté Lázně. You can try out various sports activities here. Skates, volleyball, paddleboards and a lot more. One very interesting thing is an open-air cinema. There is always a lot of people there, but you can definitely find some spot for yourself. Films are screened regularly during the summer. So do not worry that you wouldn't make it to at least one.

And if you are not a sports enthusiast and you prefer to keep it calm, you can maybe try a picnic in one of the Prague parks. I have 3 favorites. The first one is Petřín Gardens (Petřín) where you can also visit the Petřín Tower.

Other parks for such activities are Rieger Gardens and Havlíček Gardens (Grébovka) in Vinohrady. In addition, Grébovka offers neo-renaissance and neo-romantic places. Gröbe's villa, artificially created Grotto cave, vineyard with a gazebo and more.

I hope that my little list will help you or at least give you some inspiration on what to visit during your stay in Prague.
