The goal of today's walk will be an exclusive opportunity to look inside both halls of the Premonstratensian libraries in Strahov. While the monastery in Strahov was already founded in the first half of the 12th century, both halls of the library were built gradually during the 17th and 18th centuries. With the exception of the communist period, the Premonstratensians manage the monastery without a break to this day.
The best way to get to Strahov is either from Bílá hora or from the center by tram number 22 or 23 to the Pohořelec stop. From here (if you drove from the center), a short distance in the direction of travel, then slightly uphill to the right and you will reach the baroque gate of the monastery. You will pass here and shortly afterwards you will see a higher building with the entrance to the libraries on your right.
