Theatre
From the theaters, we can offer visitors several so-called black light theaters - such as the Metro or Image Theater. Don't you know what such a theater is about?

Do you have a friend from abroad or are you foreign visitors yourself and do not understand Czech? Does not matter. Take a friend / come to the performance, at black light theaters, where the father of the idea is the famous Jiří Srnec, you don't need a national language. In some black theaters, they will even be happy to share behind the scenes of some of their tricks.

Do you prefer puppets and some classics? And when the puppets are, almost life-size. Then only at the National Puppet Theater and certainly something from Mozart. Don Giovanni, for example. In the case of a public tour, there is a fixed time and place - when and where the tour begins as well as the program that should be followed. The only thing that does not change is the same quality and individual approach of our guides. We currently offer tours, for example - Prague Castle - the price of the tour already includes admission to the interiors of the Castle, as well as in the case of a visit to the Jewish Quarter. Strahov monastery libraries the public tour - exclusive entry

The goal of today's walk will be an exclusive opportunity to look inside both halls of the Premonstratensian libraries in Strahov. While the monastery in Strahov was already founded in the first half of the 12th century, both halls of the library were built gradually during the 17th and 18th centuries. With the exception of the communist period, the Premonstratensians manage the monastery without a break to this day.

On the contrary, in the days of the previous regime, all members of the public could enter the halls. Higher attendance had a bad effect on the books on display. For that reason, it was decided that only a small number of visitors can actually enter the halls. The rest of the public can see the halls in their full glory, but only from the entrance door. While you this time will be able to move in close proximity to the old books and will be directly under the unique frescoes and stucco decoration of the Theological and Philosophical Halls.
On the walk, you will learn something about the Premonstratensian order, about the library builders, and we will also visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. You will be in the halls built by Italian masters such as Jan Dominik Orsi or JanIgnác Palliardi, and you will have a close look at the work of the Viennese painter Anton Maulbertsch - his "Spiritual Development of Mankind".

The price includes a guided tour including exclusive admission to the library halls. It is allowed to take pictures (without flash) during the tour.

The meeting with the guide will be right before entering the library. For a better orientation to the courtyard, the library is directly adjacent to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
