The organ concert Famous Ave Maria for soprano and violin at the church of St. Francis in the Old Town of Prague, just next to Charles Bridge. The knights with red cross and star are at home here.

By attending the concert in St. Francis church, you can experience listening to one of the oldest organ instruments in Prague, dating back to 1702, played by personalities as W. A. Mozart, A. Dvořák or J. F. N. Seger. The organ was recently carefully restored.

The church of St. Francis was built in the second half of 17th century by excellent architect of French origin, Jean B. Mathey, decorated by fresco paintings of prominent baroque painter V. V. Reiner, while the altar pieces are the work of M. L. Willmann and J. K. Liška, while the sculptural decoration is mainly the work of Matěj Václav Jäckel and Jan Antonín Quitainer.

How to get to the concert:

The Church of St. Francis is situated on the right bank of the river Vltava - in the Old Town, in Křižovnické náměstí Square right next to the Old Town end of Charles Bridge and the tower, neighboring to the building of Klementinum. You can walk five minutes south from both the metro A and the tram - trams No 2, 17 or 18 - stops Staroměstská or you follow Karlova Street from the Old Town Square.
