At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a remarkable concentration of modern luxury villas began to emerge, at the time rural residences outside Prague of various artists, such as architects themselves, renowned painters, sculptors, but also top V.I.P. the richest members of Czech society at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries until the beginning of World War II, e.g. G. 19 in the late 1930s. Architects and artists built and decorated each other's villas.

A visually very attractive district of luxury villas began to emerge in the northwest of the city of Prague, or at that time beyond the city borders. Today it is located in the territory of Prague 6 and Prague 7. The villas, which were also built by the families of important Jewish business families, often serve as residences for ambassadors of various countries. Due to its decorative charm, the Bubeneč district is often called the "painted district".

  • Start from: Hradčanská metro station – literally from the address there Prague 6, Dejvická Street No 181/2. The restaurant Dejvická Sokolovna houses in this place.

If you arrive by metro, you can go to Dejvická Street in the subway and find the address Dejvická no. 181/2, or from the tram you cross the light railway crossing and after crossing it you are directly in front of the address Dejvická Street No. 181/2, Prague 6 - Dejvice. Here you will see the restaurant Dejvická Sokolovna.
