This tour will take you to artistic world. You will get learn about the role of culture in the life of Czechs during National revival, about Mozart in Prague and his Don Giovanni, architecture, you will see our important theatre buildings as the Estate Theatre, New Scene known also as Magic Lantern with neighboring for Czechs so important National Theatre. You will have time to discuss the literature, music etc. After that your steps will lead you into the Old Town of Prague and after real actors (symbolically) you can come to contact with puppet figures during the National marionette theatre tour. You will have the chance to get on the stage, but also backstage, where usually visitors have no access and you will get very close to real marionettes. The tour then will continue via Betlémské náměstí square connected with Václav Havel and after viewing our National Theatre building you can have your lunch at opposite Café Slavia – maybe you´ll see there some famous artists just writing new play…

How to get there?

For the Theatre tour we will meet in lower part of Wenceslas Square, the address Wenceslas Square No 2 – in front of the Palace Euro. The guide will hold FEBS 2019 International Conference sign. This place is easily reachable on foot from many of the directions – from the Old Town following Melantrichova and Na Můstku Streets, from the river following Národní Street, by the metro – there is just down below the junction of A and B lines – the stop Můstek - or if you prefer the tram, then No as 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 24 and others and about 5 minute walk to lower part of Wenceslas Square to get to our spot.
