When visiting Czech Republic you should also get familiar with our cuisine. Historically our country is located in the center of Europe with its four typical climate seasons – spring, summer autumn and winter and in the past with hard and heavy manual work in the fields. These are presumptions of the character of the Czech cooking. Compared to Mediterranean cuisine, which is much lighter for example. But heavier doesn’t mean less tasteful. The Czech cuisine is known for specific soups – not only “goulash soup in bread” which you can find in most of tourist places, but we are also the dumpling country – do you know whole its range of bread dumplings, potato dumplings, cheese dumplings – salted style, sweet style etc. Have you tasted our “chlebíčky”? Specific open sandwiches which are never absent in any family or company party? What matches as snacks with the beer? What means “svíčková”, how tastes pickled grilled pork knee? Come to taste the Czech Republic! We will be visiting at least four places, eating, drinking and sampling our national gastro heritage.
