Culinary dinner prepared by famous Czech chef Jaroslav Zahálka, taking place in a historical functionalist style hall decorated with paintings from cubistic painter Emil Filla and Prague’s best jazzmen´s, who will play jazz from the beginning of last century
Only the best Prague jazzmen will perform for you - Doris and Sophia Lámoš (vocals), Antonín Šturma as bass player, Jiří Polydor on piano and Jan Štolba on saxophone. The program includes compositions by well-known Czech composers as well as world greatest hits. And the authentic atmosphere of the 1930s completes the piano instrument that was once played at the venue by the famous Czech jazz pianist, conductor and composer Jaroslav Ježek.
The Functionalist Mánes building is located in right side riverbank, in vicinity of National Theatre. For this Culinary Jazz Dinner you easily can come by the public transportation. The tram stop Jiráskovo náměstí, trams No 2, 5 and 17. Whether you are coming from the North or South, after getting you will walk only 100 m North and on your left you will see white building over the river Vltava. The Culinary Jazz Dinner takes places in its lower restaurant.
